So, it was Labor Day Weekend! We were all so excited that we were going up to Trees and Bees for a long weekend of Fun with the Family :-) Unfortunately, after one night there, we headed back home to Doylestown. Zach woke up coughing, had a raspy voice, and was wheezing a little bit. After breakfast, the wheezing started to get worse. I made the phone call to the doctor and we were on the road.
After we were home for a while, Zach's coughing and breathing got worse and worse. So, to the ER we went. After 4 hours at the ER, an epinephrine dose, X-rays, and antibiotics, they diagnosed Zach with a severe case of croup. Initially, they thought it might be pneumonia since the epinephrine did nothing for him but the X-ray showed no fluid. The doctor said that it didn't look like the typical croup that a lot of babies come in with. That made me feel so great!
So now, we are home and we are trying to recover. I will post more info as things hopefully improve!
